Softwares are defined as programs and applications that run inside a computer system. Computer System is full of softwares. Softwares are classified into two major groups known as Application Software and System Software.

Application Softwares are those programs which are used for personal use of computers and their users. One major example of application software is Microsoft Office. These programs help users to get their demands fulfilled according to their requirements. Application Softwares are very popular now a days for commercial use. Application Softwares are used in every industry for industrial use, every business companies for business use. These softwares are available in a large variety for different purpose and different users.

Whereas if we talk about System Software, it is defined as a software used to maintain computers. A major example of these softwares is Operating System and Microsoft Windows. Without a system software a computer is a useless machine which is of no use. A computer starts with a system software known as BIOS(Basic Input Output System). These softwares help a computer to run according it’s requirements. All the application softwares will also be useless if system software is not installed in a computer system.
